WHAT’s it about?

Your chance to join in the adventure

Pre-covid every year we would invite all our young people to bring their families along on camp for their chance to experience the fun activities that we get up to in Scouting. From Archery to Paddle boarding we have an exciting weekend of activities lined up for everyone.

This always proves to be one of our moved loved events with families returning year after year to join the fun. Whether you’ve been before or it’s your first time you will have an amazing weekend with us on Family Camp 2022.

This year not only are we opening it up to our current young people and their families, we are also happy to invite those along who have moved onto Explorers to also join us. There’s no age limit anyone can come along so bring mum, dad, brother, sister, grandparents…

Cost

¹Although open to children of all ages there are a number of the adventurous activities that are not suitable for under 6’s. We therefore offer a reduced rate of £15.00 for them to attend.

I've never been camping before, is that ok?

That is no problem at all, there are many leaders and other families on site who are all there to help and welcome you to your first camp. We can help you along the way no problem.

I've not got a tent, can I still come?

We have a limited number of tents that we are happy to loan out. The only thing we ask is that you look after them, help set them up and put them down again.

We have family tents and smaller dome style tents available. These must be booked in advance by speaking with the leader team.

What's a disclosure and why do I need one?

A disclosure is a check of your criminal record. As a youth organisation we must safeguard our young people and to do this we ensure that anyone attending this event has had a criminal record check done before hand. This are completely free of charge and just require some ID from you to process this ahead of the event.

What activities do you do?

We do allsorts of activities, a few example are archery, raft building, zip wires, climbing, kayaking…the list goes on.

Before the event you will be invited to book your activities. There are limited availablity on each although there will always be something for everyone to do. We highly recommend booking your activities as soon as this opens. An earlybird ticket will get you early access to the booking.
